Q&A

  1. How did you start with photo/video?
My way of looking at the world, and later of photographing it, stemmed from a fascination with painting. I have always liked drawing and painting, but I knew I wasn’t good enough to study it at an university. While I didn’t pursue a career in painting, I still had a deep-seated need to express my artistic passion in some way. You could say that I’m a child of digital photography. I’ve always loved taking pictures, but I only learned to do it in a more conscious manner 12 years ago. In the beginning, photography was my escape from reality and a way of recharging my batteries. As time went by, it slowly became my job.
  1. How would you describe your style?
It is not my priority showing the world exactly the way it is.  I want to present my vision of the world, this idyllic paradise of fairy tales to the audience. I hope that looking at my pictures for a while wake up a child inside of them, because the world in the eyes of children is always more colorful , fascinating, mysterious and full of surprises.
  1. What inspires you?
Nature, light and old master paintings. For me, the greatest thing about my beloved field of photography is that the world of plants and gardens is an endless source of inspiration. It is very important to me, since I’m always looking for new tools, ideas, unusual shots.
  1. What is your dream shoot or project?
I try to come up with new projects on everything relating to flower and insect photography. My private goal is to challenge the stereotype of flower photography as something that you grow out of.
  1. What is your best advice to others that want to develop as photographers?
Nowadays, it is not difficult to take a picture that is technically correct. The real challenge is taking a picture that is different from all the others. So, my advice is: keep searching for your own style.

What is in your bag?

  1. What is the most important in your bag?

  1. What bag do you use?
