Jonas is a photographer, filmmaker and retoucher based in Gothenburg, Sweden. He has a passion for portrait and product photography and sketches lighting setups like there is no tomorrow. Jonas’ most important assignment so far was to document the work of a charity organisation in Kenya, the trip changed his life.
Q&A
- How did you start with photo/video?
I was on a short trip to USA when I was a teenager and visited a family where the father was a professional photographer. He took me on some photo shoots and showed me some basic darkroom skills. From then on I was hooked on photography. However, I really started developing my skills for photography when I got my first consumer DSLR in 2004 which was the Nikon D70.
- How would you describe your style?
I do mainly portrait and product photography. I would say that I usually go for more advanced lighting setups since I really love working with light. For video work I tend to go for less complex lighting setups.
- What inspires you?
I am inspired by creators who share their knowledge and inspiration with others so that more of us can learn the art of photography and filmmaking. Sharing is caring.
- What is your dream shoot or project?
Is it possible to not want to be published on the cover of National Geographic? With my niche it will most likely never happen, but hey - you shouldn't stop dreaming ;)
- What is your best advice to others that want to develop as photographers?
Watch, listen and learn from other people. Be open to constructive criticism and always try to have fun while you're shooting. If you have passion as one of your main drives you will consequently be better.

I must say my Sony A7R IV. I love that camera.

My old Lowepro ProTactic BP 45 AW is still alive and kicking.
